Project Description:
Create a pattern and letterforms based on a unique historical, cultural, etc., event. The event you choose must lend itself to creating marketable products on Society6.

 

Next, design and animate a Google doodle for your event. Design new letterforms for the word “Google” that complement your event and pattern art. Finally, create an animated Google doodle.
 

Objectives:
-Utilize patterns as surface design.
-Create hand sketches of concepts and transition them to digital media.
-Research & study letterforms to develop typography sensitivity.
-Develop a mastery of digital tools.
-Control page layout by utilizing a grid.
-Experiment with type as a design element that enhances its meaning.
-Create an animation.
